Welcome to Cardiau Cymraeg!
We are a small independent Welsh greeting cards shop, based in South Wales, and founded by a young Welsh designer. The purpose of Cardiau Cymraeg is to widen the variety of things available to Welsh speakers, and add to the selection of Welsh language products available in Wales. Although we feel it is vital for Wales to include more Welsh language ‘stuff’, everyone is welcome here at Cardiau Cymraeg and every post we make whether on our blog or social media platforms, is written bilingually – in both Welsh and English.
As a Welsh speaker, I have often found myself in the past looking for the perfect Welsh language card (especially a card for Mamgu’s birthday) and have been disappointed with the available selection – or lack of – therefore I decided to design my own, and so Cardiau Cymraeg was born. This shop has grow from a small idea and a big passion. We are constantly designing to ensure that we update our available stock continuously with fresh cards and funky original designs – each card drawn by hand and made with love. At the moment our selection of cards is small, but it’s continuously growing with the aim of including as many types of Welsh greetings cards as possible, with the same high standard of detail, care and love going into each and every design. We’re always updating our social media pages with our contemporary cards, previews of our new designs, and sneak peaks of what’s happening behind the scenes.
